Pretty worn
obverse but it's all clearly there and identifiable. These are also fairly
scarce. As you can see the
sharp ones bring fat $. Almost unique design
type on which the familiar
Ptolemy III
cornucopia is to the *right* of the
eagle instead of at the left. There are several other sizes and some do have the
cornucopia at left. And it's a
portrait obverse on a
Ptolemaic bronze rather than the almost universal 'Zeus'. This is one of those
Ptolemaic types that you don't see every day, not super-rare but you won't find six of them on
Ebay on any one day like some others.

It would be interesting if you can tell us where the
bulk of the rest of the lot of uncleaned appears to have come from? Does a 'Greek mainland' find location seem plausible for this coin?
