Three Emperer Coin Possibly Honorius?
« on: December 20, 2009, 06:36:52 pm »
I have a small somewhat oval shaped coin that has what I believe to be a three emperers type. It has three slim figures holding spears on one side and a small bust emperer on the obverse. Scans as shown

If anyone can ID this coin further and/or valuate it I am most appreciative.

Hi Peter,
if possible, get a new, or better yet, an old (used) scanner.
These pictures are terrible, you probably have a relatively new model of scanner, they are not really made for coins.

If you have a digicam with macro function try to make photos.

But it looks like the essential parts of the obverse legend are not visible so a correct attribution may be impossible.
