collection. The condition is certainly
rare.

Obverse: Diademed male
bust facing slightly left, wearing triangular jewelled
tiara, small wings above, long locks of hair falling to each
side and behind, shoulders drapped, semi-circular
legend from 5 to 7 o'clock in angular simple
kufic contaning four laqabs of the ruler, all within beaded
border. Al-Malik al-'alim al-adil Najm al-Din Mailik Diyarbakr.
Reverse: Female
bust facing, wearing three-pointed
crenelated crown and necklace, curled tresses falling on each
side, shoulders draped, semi-circular
legend from 5 to 7 o'clock in angular simple
Kufic, as on
obverse, containing the ruler's kunya and ism,
his pedigree back three generations and the date, continuing in the
field to right and left. Abu al-Muzaffar Alpi bin Timurtasg bin Il-Ghazi bin Artuq sanah thamam wa khamsin wa khamsami'a.
