The show opened in
London last night. Unfortunately it got a big thumbs down from the theatre critic of my national newspaper. After slating just about everything, he concludes "The production was always going to stand or fall with the
chariot race, however, and what a disappointment it proves. The
health and safety brigade and the animal rights fanatics have clearly been at
work and the result is little more than a sedate canter rather than a full-blown gallop to the death."
