I like the coins from
Hungary. Other than the polish coins which were more or less copies of the coins of
Germany and
Austria, the appearence of the small denars is very distinct. This is true for the 13th and 14th century and all the more for the two centuries before.

Albert I. (1246-1259) was an opponent of Bela IV, as he was an ally of the mighty
King of
Bohemia Ottokar II Premysl, to whom he fled, after
his attempt to murder
King Konrad IV
had faild. Later on (in 1278) Ottokar II succumbed to Rudolf von Habsburg in the famous batte on the Marchfeld in
Austria.
