M. Aurelius/Standing Herakles ?
« on: September 17, 2012, 10:55:41 am »
AE 17.5 mm,  3.02 g

Obv:  Bust of young Marcus Aurelius (?)
Rev. [ ]EITWN Herakles standing right holding club and lionskin

I've been working on this one for 2.5 years, and still no progress.  Rather than continuing the original thread, I thought it would be better to re-post with a better picture.
Is this Marcus Aurelius?  What is the object hanging below the end of the legend on the rev?
Where is the darn thing from???

Thanks for any help with attribution

I would guess it's Herakles with lion skin in left hand, club leaning to right.
