I love this Germanicus Quadrans!

I am always so impressed with the ancient designers. Some might think it simple but I would disagree.

The linear precision in the design of this coin along with the spacial layout of the devices and legends is remarkably appealing. Add to it 2000 years of history, a patina with lovely contrast, some great photography and a black background. Fantastic!

Congrats on such a nice addition.

Cheers,

-Kurt

Your Germanicus is tremendous.
However, do you see signs of smoothing on it ?
I wouldn't want to look offending but find the details a bit "too much". Is it just me ?

Hi!
PotatorII.

"Potator II." looked at under a microscope to the coin and I did not see traces of smoothing. If need be I will send you pictures enlarged, it is important to me that manipulated whether or not the coin.

Hi quadrans,

as I have already mentioned, I believe that the obverse of your Dupondius was tooled. :(

quadrans,

have a look at the quadriga, it is out of harmony with the background. the reverse was tooled as well but not so heavy!
