Apolonia Pontica Hemidrachms
« on: January 14, 2021, 03:00:36 am »
Hey guys,

I recently won an auction on ebay of two Apolonia Pontica Hemidrachms.
I collect antique coins for a year so sometimes it is difficult to say for me if they are genuine from the picture.
I didnt pay for coins yet-I prefer to ask before I do because I burned myself couple times already.
The guy who listed those coins is not on a fake ebay seller list-his nickname is theodoraavgusta from Portugal.
What is your opinion on those coins?
Thank you and greetings from Poland.

Weight would help, but--unfortunately--I am confident that both are counterfeitsEbay is the worst place in the world to buy ancient coins!

Thank you guys.
Sorry I didnt know about the rule, but if you are saying that he is selling fakes you should put him on the list. I always look at it before bidding.
In the end I will tell him to stick those coins you know where;)

All of the silver coins you post are fakes.

But why did you bid at all?

Since we agree on this, I nominate "theodoraavgusta" for the NFSL.

He is located in Bulgaria (although the item location is given as Portugal). Therfore I'm not sure if his listings are visible in all countries.

Nomination requires a new thread. I do not read every post. I read every thread that is a nomination.

OK, new thread started. Old posting deleted to avoid confusion due to double posts.
