For this coin the entry in the database of the Portable Antiquities Scheme can be seen here (but with very bad pictures, don't be disappointed): https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/566819

For the other Severus Alexander from Nicopolis ad Istrum I didn't find something similar  :-\ (what is MI.987,18,179 referring to?).

Here I have a new ( HHJ 2019 ) die combination for Geta with a reverse die listed for Caracalla:

obv: LOV AV KAICAR GETAC  HHJ 8.22.8.7

rev: NIKOPOLITWN PROC I   HHJ 8.18.8.17

diameter 16 mm

weight 2.6 g

The obverse turned out bluish, I did get the best detail thus.

A new rev. legend for Severus

Septimius Severus, AD 193-211
AE 29, 12.21mm, 28.87mm, 210°
struck under governor Flavius Ulpianus
obv. AVT L CEPT - CEVHROC P
       Laureate head r.
rev. VP FL OVLPIAN - NIKOPOLITWN / [PROC ICTR?]
Asklepios in himation, stg frontal, head l., resting with r. hand on snake staff set in arm pit
and holding l. arm at hip
ref. a) not in AMNG
      b) not in Varbanov
      c) not in Hristova-Hoeft-Jekov (2020):

obv. e.g. No. 8.14.20.1 (same die)
      unpublished
coll. Hoeft

The rev. has the full ethnicon NIKOPOLITWN, which is very rare in Ulpianus. The only other known type for Severus is HrHJ (2020) 8.14.31.6 (Kybele), which has ICTR in ex. I have therefore adopted this for my coin.

ref. a) not in AMNG
      b) not in Varbanov
      c) not in Hristova-Hoeft-Jekov (2020):
rev. No. 8.17.31.1 (same die, for Domna)
No. 8.18.31.1 (same die, for Caracalla)
obv. e.g. No. 8.14.6.2 (same die)
      probably unpublished
coll. Hoeft

Another example of a parallel issue for members of the imperial family, this time for 3 of them. Possibly a copy for Geta will turn up as well.

Note:

Dr. Jekov pointed out to me that the coin of Aurelius Gallus with Kybele for Septimius Severus was already listed in Hristova-Hoeft-Jekov (2020) under No. 8.14.31.1.  I don't know how I missed the illustration on page 103. Maybe it's my age?

I had to delete the number #099.

Best regards
