Hi folks,

It's time for a status report.

I last posted here in this topic about 5 weeks ago. That is also the last time I worked on my website.

The month of August was busy for me. My mother went on vacation. I haven't been on vacation since 1988 because of my illness. When my mother goes on vacation, I must take care of and run the whole house. Since I am disabled, it is a lot on me. I have to do all of the chores that my mother usually does for me. That caused me to get backed up on some things.

In addition to that, a bunch of other things went wrong. That caused me to get even more backed up on things.

It took me a few weeks to get caught up on everything. Today, I finally finished getting everything taken care of. Sometime within the next 2 days, I should be able to resume working on my website again.

Of course, as usual, I have some new arrivals that need to be processed and posted in my website. These are coins that I received within the past 5 weeks. I will be doing that first.

Hi folks,

I resumed working on my website again today. However, I encountered a problem. I use Filezilla, and I can no longer connect to Joe's server. His server keep rejecting my request to connect. I must get this technical glitch worked out before I can upload anything to my website.

I was able to connect to Joe's server as recently as 5 weeks ago. Are any other Forum members encountering any similar problems lately?

I don't want to insult you as I know you know what you are doing and Filezilla is a great program. I wonder if the address has changed? Are you using secured login versus straight FTP? I know a lot of servers have gone to secured only logins (sftp) over the years. Just a couple of guesses from n old web guy who is pretty out of tough technically these days.

Good luck.

Regards,
Virgil

Hi VH,

I finally got the problem resolved. It appears that Lech had a similar problem. He wrote about it in the "Forbidden Errors" topic in the Forum Announcements and Website Help section of Forum. Sorin answered him. Today, I followed Sorin's advice to Lech, and it worked. I was able to successfully connect to Joe's server. I wrote about it in that topic.

By the way, I am similar to you in the sense that I used to be really into computers when I was younger. I am so "out of the loop" now.

Hi folks,

Today, I split my Greek Italy, Campania, Neapolis, Bronze, Part 2A page into 2 parts: Part 2A and Part 2B.

I did this to accommodate future growth. That page was getting too crowded.

Hi folks,

I just split my 4 Greek Italy, Calabria, Taras pages into 8 pages.

I did this to accommodate future growth. Those pages were getting too crowded. Also, my photo numbers were hopelessly out of sequence from add-ons.
