Possibly. Here's three Pompey from wildwinds. I think RSC 0004.4 might be pretty close. The prow seems to be similar on 0004.4, but there isn't much I can tell from the obverse (needs some touching up).
Hope this helps!

I think it looks more like a Republican As with the double-headed Janus.

Best regards

You are right, Jochen.
The obverse had me confused, and the more I thought about it, the less it seemed to match any Pompey issues. The reverse, also, seemed to be much different than the prows on those from wildwinds. So I decided to look a few other places.

I think Senatus' coin is the same (or very close to it) as on Doug Smith's page on "Nero - The Temple of Janus". (He doesn't ID the coin as Nero or Republican - it's at the bottom of the page - and the photo isn't very good, but looks like a good place to start.

Hope this helps - at least a little.

Of course it's not a coin of Nero, it's a typical Republican type used on the page because of the Janus head.

Senatus - I hope you clean it up a little bit and post it again! It will be a happy addition to your collection!
As Areich clarified, I didn't think it was a Nero, but was only trying to show you an example of the type, so I hope you didn't go off on a wild goose chase. (Good article by Doug Smith, too.)
Pekka - I have to know: Do you have "coin-graphic" memory? Or is it accumulated knowledge and experience? It's amazing how you always seem to have the right information.

Maybe I don't let you know, when I have no luck
finding right identification.
Of course some experience is needed to know,
where to look first.
