AE31, Tarsus in Cilicia, Gallienus, SNG Levante 1196 (this coin), SNG von Aulock 6080, SNG Copenhagen 410

AV KAI P LI_G GALLIHN[ O]C CEB, Radiate draped cuirassed bust right. P before and behind TAPCOV MHTP_O_POLE_WC A M K, Nike standing right, G on either side, left foot on globe, inscribing oval shield EIC / AIWNA / TOUC / KUPI / OUC.

What's EIC AIWNA TOUC KUPIOUC?

Near as I can google up, something about eternal, and something about a leader, natural or supernatural.

According to Levante, it stands for "wishing eternity to the Emperors"; cf Pick, JIAN 1 (1898), 451-463

Eis aiona means "forever" or "for eternity", tous kyrious is "the rulers" or "the masters" in the accusative case. It might mean "(We honour, cherish etc.) the rulers forever".

Leschorn and Franke (Lexicon of Greek Coin Inscriptions) translate it as (German) "auf ewig die Herrscher" (English) "forever the rulers."
