Copper alloy; 48mm/14.0gm
Iron peg; 21mm

One side is convex, the other is flat. Looks Roman, maybe?
No clue.

Yes, I believe they are Roman too.  I have seen them documented at Roman sites.  Not uncommon, but rare with the iron pin.

They appear to be part of some sort of mechanism - latch??, lid part????
