This issue affects multiple people, and yes, it seems like it is the same few people every time.

Also, why does the issue always resolve itself within 24-48 hours?

Few people may have somehow similar configuration. For example, same privacy /security options, same rules applied to firewall etc.

Have you tried the simplest ways: restart browser, restart system, restart computer, restart router?

Of course, this is not it. Once, when the error occurred, I tried to open the discussion page on three different computers with two different OSs in two different locations, each with two different browsers (FF and Chrome). Each time I got a blank page.

It happened again late last night. For a few hours, I was getting a blank white screen. Today, it is working fine.

I wonder if it has anything to do with updates being installed. Is there some sort of central/worldwide authority that installs updates on the internet all over the world? Maybe it takes time for certain local ISPs to get caught up with (or become compatible to) the update.

I find it particularly amazing that the main start page (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/)  is always accessible when otherwise only a white screen is visible.

But that also has its good. You can log in via the start page, and then, as already mentioned above, everything works.

Yes. That indicates to me the problem is not with us users.

Another thing that might be related: Using a bookmark to access the discussion page, it takes maybe 15 to 20 seconds to come up. I Click on login, and the login page is always there immediately. I fill in my login info, and hit return, and then it takes another 15 to 20 seconds for the discussion page to come up again with me logged in.  However, the main start page (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/) always comes up immediately.

I have my browsers set to delete all cookies when I close the browser.
So if it is a cookie problem, it is loading new cookies back onto my computer. (Although no other sites are affected this way . . .)

Same here. (This morning around 8:30 AM West Coast US time it was OK.)
If the past is anything to go by, in 24-48 hours it will be OK again.

Again (as usual), it affected the same people, including me and you.

It probably happens to more people, they just don't report it. It happens to me at times, but I can usually find a way in. On rare occasions, I just wait a bit and it will work again.

I just find Forum incredibly slow sometimes to load a page.  It could take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute.  I found it happens mostly trying to get to the gallery or the coin shop.  Once the initial page loads, it goes back to normal quick loading

This was happening to me too, I found that the culprit, at least for me, was the Google Chrome browser. Since I started using Firefox to access FORVM I have had no more problems, though Chrome is still my default browser for other sites.

I also find the site super slow at times and it happened in the shop yesterday. I use Safari primarily, but am considering switching to Brave browser and Search. The slowness is fairly random. Since it generally doesn't happen on other sites, I assume it is not on my end. I use Chrome for now on my Windows desktop computer, but can't remember issues there as I am usually using the laptop for Forum. I just wait it out because it always returns to normal at some point. The slowness happens in Numiswiki and Forum, as well as the shop. Not a huge big deal, but can be annoying.

So, I mentioned that the site is sometimes slow. For the last two days, that includes the shop. Just now, I cannot use the Shop site at all. Yet the Discussion works. This is a big issue for Joe, as the shop finances not only his life, but also the Forum and Numiswiki. When I click on a link in the left side menu, such as "Themes and Provanance," it just sits there and never moves to the page I want. Just wanted to report this is happening to me right now. It seems the site never actually completely loads. I can't scroll on the main page and the side links I do not get an indicator it is a link. If I actually click anyway, it goes nowhere. Even refreshing isn't working now. I use Safari on a Mac Air laptop. This is two days in a row.

Still an inexplicable mystery. One thing can only be said for sure. Some people have this white screen relatively often, even regularly, while others never.

So it is not a general failure, but rather a combination of several unidentified factors. Whoever finds the solution should probably be rewarded with the title of Tribunus Plebis Perpetuus.
