« on: April 20, 2018, 02:40:06 pm »
Checked around on Wildwinds, acsearch, and the Romancoin.info spreadsheet, and I cannot find any trace of this mintmark.

IMP C M AVR PROBVS PF AVG, Radiate Cuirassed bust right
RESTITVT ORBIS, Female left, presenting wreath to Probus right, holding globe and scepter
No mark between them
Mintmark XXI dot II

A variation of my type below.

Probus
Obv:– IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, Radiate, cuirassed bust right
Rev:– RESTITVT ORBIS, Victory standing right, presenting wreath to emperor standing left, holding spear
Minted in Siscia (II in centre field, XXI in exe) Emission 9 Officina 2. A.D. 282
Reference:– Alföldi type 57, n° 90. RIC 731 Bust type F

Your mintmark is Alföldi type 57, n° 95.

This mintmark is known for RIC 731
Alfoldi cites types 57/93 //XXI•P, 57/94 //XXI•P•, and 57/95 //XXI•II•, however //XXI•II variant (the second dot is missing) is not listed. This could be the consequence of clogged-up reverse dies.

From Alföldi, I knew it existed, and I have seen XXI•P• and XXI•B•, but XXI•II• seems to be scarce, at least.

I agree with Davor that the second • is likely missing due to a clogged die situation.

The 10th Siscia emission (my classification) has this rarer sub-series //XXI.P. - //XXI.II. (no //XXI.T. known to me).

I have registered (type Alföldi 57,95, coins with pics) 18 examples similar to your coin IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG - radiate cuirassed bust r. - RESTITVT ORBIS //XXI.II. There is a rare type IMP C PROBVS P F AVG - radiate cuirassed bust r. - with that reverse (Alföldi 57,43) : 7 coins known to me.

The Petrijanec hoard (Croatia) gives interesting numbers :
RESTITVT ORBIS //XXI.P. : 9 ex.
- RESTITVT ORBIS //XXI.II. : 9 ex.
- [ RESTITVT ORBIS //XXI.T. : 0 ex. ], which would prove that no coin was minted for the officina T(ertia), probably not active at this time of the 10th emission.

Nice coin...
