The inscription can be translated as:
Seal of the noble emperor Michael Ducas.
So obviously this is an imperial seal of Michael VII (1078-1090).

Thanks but ..... this is not so obviously.
If we read AVTH, not AVTK, this seal must belong to the uncle of emperor Michael Ducas

Then the Diameter is unusual - not 20 mm. as described but more then 32 mm !!!!! >:(

Um ... uncle of the emperor Michael Ducas?  Isn't this the Michael Ducas who was the brother-in-law of Alexius I, i.e. the brother of the empress Irene? That would make him a cousin of Michael VII. Or am I using PBW incorrectly?

My responce was based on your initial input of AVTK which obviously means Autocrator=emperor.
If you think the seal bears AVTH and not AVTK, then maybe we should see it  8)  ;D

Yes, it's Michael Doukas, grandson of Eirene and kaisar Ioannes Doukas  - brother of Constantine X Doukas/, son of Andronikos Doukas and brother of Eirene Doukaina, wife of Alexios I.
He is a cousin of Michael VII

It is very clear visible on the seal - AVTK .
The inscription AVTH is citation from the site PBW.
