LOL, that is funny.  On the not so funny side, I finished Tacitus' Annals a few months ago and now am into Suetonius' Twelve Caesars.  Not infrequently in these works you can see clear parallels that don't bode well for us in the U.S.  I came across the text below a few weeks ago and was so struck by it I sent it to my kids as a reminder that history does repeat itself.

The Roman empire split in two; the west fell and the east didn't. I don't know whether there's any parallel - I'm several thousand miles away - but it often does looks as though there are two or more competing versions of the US.
