The chase goes on. This thread should be seen as supplement and integral part of Hristova-Hoeft-Jekov, The Coinage of Nicopolis ad Istrum, edition 2018.

A new type for Nikopolis

rev. Crescent with 5 stars
ref. Not in Hristova-Hoeft-Jekov (2018):

It is discussed wether these items are coins at all or rather temple tokens. Most of them are holed and on this specimen an attempted piercing can be seen too. Mr. Jekov has decided to add them to Nikopolis.
