I acquired this
denarius of
Nero at a popular
auction site. Not on the
NFSL, not a private listing, not a new seller. Coin feels and looks
fine in hand. No
evidence of casting (seem, bubbles, or anything else I can see) to my eye. The only, and absolute only, thing that makes me wonder, is that the sale was listed as
Vienna,
Austria, and came from
Hungary. I'm failrly new, and most of my
denarii are
Flavian. Again, it does not look like a
fake to me, and it does not feel like one. The
flan crack on the
obverse at 7 o'clock goes through the
flan to the
reverse. I just wanted a second look by more experienced people. I greatly appreciate anyone willing to take a look and give an opinion.
