I dont find this nummus of Julian II in RIC or maybe i miss one line. With dot in middle field.

I didnt checked yet on my books but if the legend has no break it should stuck to your opinion. For the letters you see, between us it is impossible to conclude, the photo is not as good as i want. With magnifying glass the forms indicate nothing. Only CAES is readable.
