A pre-recorded rehearsal of my talk has been uploaded to academia, for all those interested.  It is a 17 minute video concerning Acheloios and man-faced bull iconography:

It already occurred about a year ago but the ANS does not record the Long Table discussions, so I made this to post online.

I appreciate you saying so!

I’ve got another book coming out about Acheloios in early 2022, and if I can manage a few more after that. Sometimes I feel like I’m a treasure hunter and with Acheloios I’ve found a spot that just keeps on giving.

I will definitely watch this, I always wished that ANS would record the Long Tables as I can't attend them most weeks and you only get one shot at seeing them.

Thanks for doing a separate video.

Thanks - you pack an enormous amount of research in a precise 17 minute summary - excellent indeed!

I also enjoyed the positioning of the bull's horns on the top of the bookcase. I could have sworn it was an Akarnanian Acheloios magistrate giving the presentation.  :)
All historical inquiry is contingent and provisional, and our own prejudices will in due course come under scrutiny by our successors.

Thank you--Those had been there for years but took on a whole new dimension with Covid/Zoom!
