jar of coins

Justin W:
I see that you needed the Id for the first coin you took out. It probably will be a lot of ids for all that coins. I’m making an assumption that you are somewhat new at identifying, please correct me if I’m wrong. If you need help identifying please message me, I enjoy identifying and logging coin.

Btw, I hope this is ok to say on the board.

Best Regards,

Justin

SC:
If those coins were really found together as a hoard (and there are many people who sell a bunch of unrelated uncleaned in a pot) then they should be catalogued carefully.

Ideally they should be IDed recorded as they are removed from the pot for the first time so that some element of the stratigraphy or layering can be preserved as well in case the hoard was built up over time.
