The Honeymoon Coin

(1/3) > >>

Stkp:
My son and daughter-in-law just returned from their honeymoon in Hawaii. Before they left, they asked me what I wanted them to bring me back as a souvenir. I jokingly suggested a Hawaiian coin, but then told them not to go out of their way for me, and that I'd be happy with a t-shirt. As fate would have it, a taxi let them out at the wrong address, and they found themselves on the sidewalk in front of a coin store! I have posted my souvenir coin to my gallery:

It is not the usual ancient, medieval or early-modern coin that we see on these boards. Nor is it within the realm of my usual collecting interests. Yet for me, it is definitely the COIN OF THE DAY!

Stkp:
Thank you, Molinari, and thank you, Joe. The coin collection continually grows. But a new addition to the family is special. Stkp

An Hawaiian shirt will wear out, but a coin can last forever. Congratulations for you and your family.
