Signet ring 3

(1/1)

Rugser:
Roman's ring

Two symmetrical eagles eat heartily a snake.

Idea ?

Bohemian:
That symbol could say: struggle betveen noble Roman empire and glary sneak, serpentine, malicious barbaric tribes.  ....?.....

Joe Sermarini:
The Romans seem to have had a more positive perspective regarding snakes.   They were not usually depicted as evil or enemies.  Although the Caesar denarius depicting an elephant trampling a snake has traditionally been interpreted as good trampling over evil, the "snake" may not be a snake at all and the interpretation is almost certainly wrong.
