Hi everyone,

Glad I found this page today. A friend of mine from Lebanon showed me 3 coins he has and he's tasked me with finding information on them. I've identified them today, but where I'm now hoping to go is the usual stuff people ask about: are they real? And do they have any value in today's market?

Thank you:

1st coin is: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=4430&lot=324

According to a post on that page, it is fake because this coin I'm posting spells it PHILLPVS rather than PHILLIPVS and the same user comments "This fake has the very unusual obverse legend ending in OVBOVS instead of the usual PIVS FEL AVG." - do the users here agree?

2nd coin is: http://wildwinds.com/coins/ric/caracalla/_antiochPisidia_AE32_SNGFr_1146.jpg

3rd coin is: http://wildwinds.com/coins/ric/philip_I/_heliopolis_AE28_Saulcy_2.jpg

I'm a meteorite expert, but I am not a coin expert. I'm part of several meteorite ID pages and I understand the tedious time that can be spent dealing with people who just have no clue on what they're talking about. I appreciate any time spent by any of you. Thanks.

These are unfortunately the usual forgeries for tourists in this part of the world

Thank you for the quick reply, Klaus. I posted them to the "Roman and Greek coins identification" facebook page and one user thought they looked like the real deal. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2479614938929151
Your reply was with more confidence than his, so I'm inclined to go with you on this quick survey.
