Help ID a Roman Coin, Please
« on: September 26, 2022, 10:12:05 am »
Can anyone help ID this coin?  I dug it up in a wood in the south of England as a child about 45 years ago. It is a silver colour and approx. 15mm diameter.  I'd appreciate any info on this coin.
Many thanks

It appears to be a denarius of Tiberius; minted in Lugdunum (modern day Lyons), c. AD 18-35

Obv: TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AUGUSTUS; laureate head of Tiberius to the right.
Rev: PONTIF MAXIM; Livia seated to the right on a throne with ornate legs, her feet resting on a footstool, holding a sceptre with her right hand and an olive branch in her left
