10mm Greek with horse or bull

10mm and 1.1 gm. Probably a bull on obverse. Not sure on reverse, maybe someone standing in temple?

Thank you
Charlie

Dear Charlie and Board,

This is most likely an issue of Parium which seems somewhat scarce for this small denomination.  A possible match:

On your specimen, the top portion of an erect, hook-shaped 'Π' may be visible at 10:00.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hi folks,

I agree with Mark and Alta.

As soon as I looked at ancientone's photos, I immediately recognized the reverse as an altar, and I immediately thought of Parion (Parium). Then, I read Mark's and Alta's posts, and they confirmed my suspicion.

I have the larger denomination (20 mm) version of this type, with a butting bull (second coin):

Apparently, the city of Parion (Parium) issued a whole series of these types of coins, in more than one denomination (weight).

Thank you Mark, Altamura and Meep!  I've been trying to find this for quite sometime now.  Much appreciated!
