Commodus from Nicopolis ad Istrum
« on: September 11, 2016, 06:56:39 am »
Dear Board,

I have here a Commodus from Nicopolis ad Istrum.

The obverse is unlisted but in the addenda, #074, is a similar coin listed, with a difference.

The coin listed in the addenda does look like having an obverse legend reading AVT KAI KOMOD O, but I can't read my coin in any other way than AVT KAI KOMOD C

obv: AVT KAI KOMOD C
rev: NIKOPOL-I PROC ICT

diameter: 18 mm

weight: 2.9 g

HHJ 8.14.4.3 var , AMNG -

Any comments appreciated !
