Suspect Greek Coin....
« on: May 27, 2013, 06:37:08 am »
I spotted this on a Swedish auction site, and it set alarm bells ringing..... Also it is obvious the seller knows nothing about coins!!

  Any thoughts please?

Thanks Rover.....

The funny thing is, the Guy selling it has this sales pitch...

"Very unusual and well-preserved Greek silver coins from 300BC.

The world's most expensive coin is Greek and from 400BC. It was auctioned for 1, 2 million kronor.Mine is older and very fine. Email for further questions.

See the weight in picture. Bid if you really mean to have a coin that has a high status among today's coin. It is in silver. "

 And has a STARTING PRICE of 15,000 Swedish Krona... ( $2150!!! )

I shall mail him with the bad news!

I have some petrified T-REX crap that is some million years old, maybe I can get a lot of benjamins as it is older than the world's most expensive coin from 400BC  ;D
