Fibulae on NumisWiki

SC:
I have used Russ' images as well as taken some others from the Anglo-Saxon book he linked to.

I have also taken the liberty of deleting any messages from this thread that only provide an image that is subsequently used on the wiki pages.  This will save space etc.

Russ:
Hi Shawn,
Thanks a lot for your help.
Are you familiar with the following dissertation by Ward, Esther G. Zoomorphic Penannular Brooches in 6th and 7th century Ireland? It has an interesting and informative text and great illustrations. It can be found at

     Wow! That's a long one.

EDIT: Shortened!  ;D

SC:
Russ,

I did not know of that resource.  Thanks.  I don't know much about fibula of that era.

Someone might be able to shorten the url via the "tinyurl" service but I don't know how.

Shawn

I have made major edits to the Bent-Foot Fibula page in the Germanic Fibula section.  I have added many illustrations to it.
