A hoard of 175 Roman denarii found near Livorno in Tuscany, Italy

A hiker from an archeological group near Livorno in Tuscany spotted silver glinting among leaves and disturbed soil on the forest floor. Turned out to be a hoard of 175 silver denarii dated from around 157 B.C. to 82 B.C., the latter date most likely when the hoard was buried.
