chris22121:
I have come to inherit my grandfathers items when he passed. I am very new to this, but would love some help. If you have any info on what you think this might be can you please help? Thanks! Its about 1 cm. Looks maybe like someone holding a rod.
Jay GT4:
Probably Roma, Athena or Minerva with shield holding Victory.
Roma_Orbis:
Holding a rod, it could be Bacchus, or a hunter, a very common 2nd-3rd cent. AD representation.
The carving is rather simple, and the surfaces rough, making it uneasy to see all details, could you make a print using plasticine/modelling clay?
