Small imitative nummus from Lebanon
This small nummus measures 10mm and weighs 0.85g. It is part of the contents of a small hoard of coins found in southern Lebanon, near the Israeli border.
It is well executed and imitates a fifth-century salvs reipvblice, but completely retrograde, both on the obverse, with the face turned to the left, and on the reverse, with the prisoner to the left of the victor and the cross in the right field.
Personally I find these imitative numbers particularly interesting and attractive.

SC:
Very interesting.

Though beware, it may have a few small spots of BD.
