Silvered(?) Constantine I AE3

(1/2) > >>

vrbsroma:
Constantine I
AE3
CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG, rosette diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right
Rx: GLORIAEXERCITVS, two soldiers with two standards between, SMALB in exergue.

Any ideas what RIC number???

Tiathena:

Looks like RIC VII 58, Alexandria, 2nd Officina.

  Best,
  Tia

vrbsroma:
Thanks!

It has a gold toning to it, is that called silvering?

Jochen:
Maybe! Old silver sometimes got a golden toning.

Best regards

Robert_Brenchley:
It can go that colour due to iron-staining over the centuries.
