Amazing coins!  Wow, you have found iron knives, spear points, and arrowheads?  I'm guessing that means that you have dug in/around what must have once been a military camp?  I would love to see the arrowheads, knives, and spearpoints if you have a picture. 8)  Military artifacts are one of the things I love most about collecting artifacts (even though I don't really have any, I love looking at them and researching!).

I'm sending ancientcoins an arrowhead that may be late roman or midevial.  He might enjoy any such examples of similar  things you all might have.  After all, after we all are gone, who will teach the young about Constantine and James Brown? ;)

I found once Roman fish hook.It was very big hook with green patina.I guess they have plenty fish in that time.Imagine rivers with no factorys on the river banks.
I have also little Roman stone from one fishing net. Here is the pic.

Hi NervousRex
Near Pozarevac is Viminacium, beautiful Roman town with famous mint. But i sugest not to bring your metal detector with you becouse it is ilegal to hunt coins here and custom officer will took it from you on custom department :police:.Or you can try to hide it.Choice is your.

A very nice find indeed!

The rarer 'PON MAX' Vesta reverse in very good shape. If that was in a coin store I would not hesitate to purchase it.

What good luck you have at hunting them.

Wonderful denarius!  I don't focus on or know much about the Flavian Era, but I think that it looks more like Titus, Vespasian's son, then Vespasian himself?  I will have a look around and reply if I find anything.

Andrew

P.S.  Nice Trajan big bronze  as well! :)

Way to go Marcus!
I thought you'd likely find some large Trajans eventually.  Your homeland was once a staging area for his forays farther east.

Another wonderful denarius!

Your coin reverse is Ceres, seated left, holding torch, corn-ear and poppy.

Your coin is unlisted in the BMCRE and RSC. They have the same reverse, but with the obverse portrait right (BMCRE 244, RSC 550).

A hard to find reverse with the portrait right, but you have an unlisted variant with the portrait left. A very rare coin.

In two days you have managed to find two Vespasian denarii that I very much would want in my collection!

Where is this magic field of yours?  ;)

Ugh, I should know this, these Colonia Viminacium issues are so popular...  I think the types were minted for more than one emperor, maybe like Philip, Gordian III, and maybe others...
