I don't think that it is so strange there's no Anazarbus coinage for
Hadrian. Notwithstanding the old archaeology saying that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
The introduction to the coinage of Anazarbus in
RPC III notes that the coinage of the city is intermittent, albeit every few years under
Trajan, ie 107/8, 113/14 and 114/5.
There are also no Hadrianic coins known for Flaviopolis, Heirapolis
nor Irenopolis where Trajanic issues are recorded.
