Commodus Sestertius Adlocutio OTD

Hello friends, I have added a coin to my galley that I feel is nice and historically significant enough to warrant COTD status. It is a lovely Commodus Adlocutio Sestertius that you do not see all that often. There are many small variations to the reverse, based upon the number of soldiers (3-6) and the number of aquila shown. My variation is RIC III 468b, showing 4 soldiers and 3 aquila. This coin also has an over 40 year old European Auction provenance, which is always a nice bonus. I'm on a bit of a Commodus kick at the moment it seems, my next addition to share after this one is also a rare and desirable Commodus, also COTD worthy.
