That Celtic coin is amazing. The one from Phrygia is nice, too.

Hi VH,

Thank you for the message. :)

Yes, that Celtic coin is an interesting "curiosity piece." It is somewhat outside of my normal sphere of collecting.

My Sicily, Agrigentum, Augustus coin is a rewarding addition to my collection. It took 2-3 years of patience, diligence, communications, and work to acquire it. But it was well worth the wait and effort. During the past year, for several reasons, I was losing hope that I would ever obtain it. You have no idea the "roadblocks" I encountered trying to obtain it. Just within the past 6-9 months alone, since circa last Summer, I literally encountered at least 4 different "roadblocks" that I had to deal with and overcome.

Hi folks,

During the past 3 days, I installed a major update to the Roman Republic section of my website. I added 18 pages. I expanded it from 51 pages to 69 pages. I did this to accommodate future growth. Some of my pages were getting too crowded.

I also rearranged and/or moved some coins to different pages.

I re-numbered and renamed hundreds of photos. Consequently, depending on which browser you are using, you may need to clear your cache.

Hi VD,

Thank you for the comment.

Regarding the Parium coin, the countermark is what attracted me to it. That issue is outside of my normal sphere of collecting. As far as Roman Provincial coins are concerned, I usually only purchase coins issued by Octavian/Augustus, coins with architechural reverses, or coins with some sort of interesting reverse.

In that auction, I bid on several Roman Provincial coins of Augustus, but I was over-bid on all of them, except for one.
