Many Milan coins from that time period have short, squared flans or cut flans.
I have a coin of the same type (Quattrino) that was issued by Filippo IV. My example has a short, squared flan. But I don't think my example was cut. Is it possible that coins of Filippo III were cut to conform to coins of Filippo IV?
