Well I am a new member of forum and I am a new ancient coin collector when compared to most. A couple months back I started cleaning batches of uncleaned coins and I found it fun, but I wanted to start a collection of coins that would feel more special to me. Then I discovered this amazing site which has provided me with so much insight into ancient coin collecting, so I decided to buy my first coins from forvm. I decided while buying that I would like to start a hadrian collection and I have always loved the greek gods, so I decided I want to collect coins with each greek god on it. With that being said here is are my first gallery coins!

Hello everyone its been a bit since I added a coin, but recently I just acquired a beautiful roman provincial of Gallienus from Perga Pamphylia. I was attracted to this coin because of the beautiful highlights on the patina and the portrait which I still am amazed by.

Hello friends, I recently won a provincial coin in an auction which I was really attracted to. I was particularly attracted to the labrys on the back and how the handle of it has bare bronze showing. This is normally unattractive but I think it looks quite cool considering how it contrasts with the top of the labrys.

I am lucky to have acquired this beautiful provincial coin from Seleucus and Pieria. It looks so great in person and is nice to hold as well.

Hello everyone. Because it is a new year I decided I should get some new coins! I acquired two, the first of these is a beautiful coin from rhodes. I have always wanted to get a coin from Rhodes but I wanted the first I got to be really amazing. This one I think qualifies as “amazing” to me. The portrait of Helios is almost 3D and it really seems that way in person. Also the rose on the back is lovely. I hope everyone will have a great new year!

Hello everyone, today my first tetradrachm from Alexandria arrived after being stuck in a Usps center for far to long. I was inspired to buy a Tetradrachm after seeing Okidoki’s beautiful Hadrian collection. The coin is very attractive in the picture but in hand it looks and feels amazing.
