Title: Pescennius Niger - RIC 44b
Post by: maridvnvm on July 27, 2021, 07:07:55 am
Another offering from the same seller as the Domitian 569 posted previously.

Soft detail, edges look like they have been filed to hide the casting seam.

Obv:- IMP CAES C PESCEN NIGER IVSTI AVG, Laureate head right
Rev:- IVSTI AVG, Shield decorated with stars, set atop small shield, supported by opposed capricorns.
Minted in Antioch
Reference:- RIC 44b.

Thoughts?

Are there casting pearls around the S on the reverse?
