Hi all;
I am posting this lead item:
16,5 mm
4,5 g
I am wondering if it's Hebrew Tessera ?? because the legend especially on the Rev.in ex.looks like hebrew letters ??...

I think it is Armaiac since the first letter is Mem in Armaiac not Hebrew.

Very interesting what you said,because as far as i know the phoenician don't have lead Tessera  ??,so if it's not Phoencian,and not Hebrew?/who did it?I have another item,may be you can read something...i will posted now below...

Did the Persian did that type of Tessera?
I cant read this one, it will be better to stamp it on some thing, the first one has MGK on Rev this one I cant make the obv??
what do you think about authenticity? since antiques is your field?

No problem even 1% regarding any doubt concerning authenticity with me ;) with coins and others...may be you can't believe me,but i have a feeling even if it's not my field...I saw huge amount of fakes daily with dealers and on the internet,but my policy at Forum like elsewhere is to NEVER give opinion on coins or artifacts....NEVER...I keep my opinion for myself...  8)
Regarding those items:The Indo Greek kingdoms have used aramaic legends on their coinages...

Someone in Transjordan (or that's where TJC says they're found) imitated quite a range of types in lead, mainly Nabataeans and Jannaeus prutot. Who knows, they may have done some of these as well. Lead would be a strange medium for a modern forger to be using.

Those items and a lot others came from very old collection,at least 50 years old...After all ,everything is possible in life...
