August 9, 48 BC – The Battle of Pharsalus – Julius Caesar decisively defeats Pompey at Pharsalus and Pompey flees to Egypt. 

Great opportunity to show off some imperatorial coins (I’m looking at you Jay GT4 and carthago)!
