The obverse has a distinct Seleukid look? However, I can’t resolve the reverse figure or text. Obv. Radiate bust right within a circle of pellets. Rev. Standing figure right holding curved object in left hand. Right arm raised. Indistinct text right field. Within circle of pellets 2.2gr 14.8-16.2mm axis 12hr Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks
I have assumed this AE15 is from Antioch. Obv. bust right. Rev. SC in laurel wreath, with Greek letter above and a large O below. Perhaps the letter below is simply part of the wreath. Sorry the obverse image is so poor - it is very worn! 1.9gr 12hr 14.8-15.0mm Any suggestions? Thanks
I have assumed that this coin is Thracian. However, it doesn’t match other examples. Obv. Double headed axe with S symbol is each quadrant. Rev. Horse standing right. Have I misidentified the obv. as an axe? 4.6gr 16.6-17.4mm axis 12hr Thanks
