SERRATED COINS
« on: January 15, 2007, 10:10:30 pm »
Have cleaned a couple of serrated coins -- I am thinking Seleucid (coins are "holy land uncleaned coins").

Have any other areas issued serrated coins?  If so, that information will help me search.  Seem to be matching up a couple...lettering is hard for me to read...

Many thanks for reading!

Well -- I just found the FORVM attribution kit for serrated coins!

Well, if anyone knows of OTHER ones besides Seleucid of Roman Denarii - please let me know.

My pieces are bronze.

There are several serrated Seleukid Bronze issues.  Your best bet is to post some pictures and I can help identify them from there.  Otherwise, have a look at my gallery (link below) where a few serrated coins are listed.
