Hi folks,
This is my first post in this topic since Joe moved it from the Website section of
Forum (which no longer exists because he merged sections) to this section of
Forum.
I finally got caught up on everything I
had to take care of. So, I can get back to working on my website. Before I resume swapping out my sub-par (blurry) photos, I need to post a new arrival. I received one coin in the past month, and I must process it.
However, before I do that, I must correct an error. There is an article in the current issue of "The
Numismatist" magazine regarding a
Trajan AE
sestertius that depicts a bridge over the Danube River. This bridge was constructed by
Trajan during the
Roman wars with the
Dacians. I have one of those coins (
RIC 569). After reading this article, I realized that the dealer made an error in
his text description of the coin (
Tiber River instead of Danube River). Of course, I copied that error onto my hand-written tags. My tags are also clumsily and awkwardly written because I literally translated them from
German instead of taking poetic license and "cleaning them up" so that the English translation flows better. I must now write up new tags for my coin and edit the text description in my website. I will probably do that later today.
