Whether you should clean it or not depends on your skill, I guess since you're asking the answer would be no.
There is no bronze disease on the coin, unless you're sure you will improve it by cleaning my advice to you is to leave it as it is.

That wan't mean to be rude, I couldn't clean it either. It looks like maybe mechanical cleaning would improve the coin but I'm not sure from the picture.

Just to reinterate...I consider myself a pretty good cleaner, not fantastic, but decent, and I would not touch it. The slight patina looks incredibly thin and any attempt to "even it out" would probably end up showing bare metal. At best I would soak it in distilled water for a week or so and brush it with a soft nylon brush to see if anything moves (some of the lighter colored stuff on the obverse may leave). If anything is removed, I would continue until nothing more leaves the coin...but I doubt that would do anything, really.

Ave!

To Tony, Andreas and Chris...

I'm not happy with what I see in Tony's pix; the patina is just a bit off to my eyes, anyway.

So, I'd suggest a soak or two in BD Killer, just to be sure, huh?

Best,

Kevin
