That truly is incredible detail. Nice coin.

Yes a lovely example. Love the detail in the portrait.

What a fantastic piece! The artistry is magnificent ... as good as you are going to get on a Roman coin!
-
Magnificent portrait!
-
Thank you both!
-
Love that sestertius - amazing!
-
Thank you Ron C2!
Added two more coins:
Denarius of Orbiana:

Crusader Kingdom of Antioch, Tancred follis:
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=2021&pid=179805
A nice Orbiana has been at the top of my want list for two decades so it's fine to finally check that off.
-
I really like the portrait on the Antioch coin, the Orbiana is great too. Its nice when you finally complete your goals.
Simon

I looked a long time for a nice orbiana denarius as well. I think she's the most elegantly portrayed Empress in Roman coinage.

Thank you, and yes I'm very pleased to finally have her.

I agree completely

Thanks, that's my favourite too.

-
Great eye appeal
-
Thanks!
-
Three new additions, a pretty but weakly struck denarius of T Carisius with another portrait of Victoria, a cute Herennia Etruscilla and a nice pre-reform Diocletian antoninianus:

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=182684
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=182685
I have a coin on the way that is one of my holy grails so I'm excited to share that when it gets here.
-
Great coins, I can't wait to see your holy grail!

Hopefully we don't have to wait too long!
BTW, nice new additions.
-
Thank you both, and thanks for the corrected attribution on my Vespasian aes, David.

A very nice and somewhat unusual Plautilla denarius:
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1694&pid=183130
This is the holy grail coin I mentioned. The reason being it features the common CONCORDIA AVGG reverse type with the early bust type and PLAUTILLAE AVGVSTAE legend. I've only seen this struck with three of the five portraits employed on Plautillas denarii and I now have an example of each in my gallery. In my experience this is the hardest variant to find hence it being a holy grail of mine. I'm now one Plautilla denarius (DIANA LVCIFERA) away from a complete (excluding hybrids) collection of her denarii which has been a collecting goal of mine since 2002 or so.
-
Added a Septimius Severus denarius, RETITVTOR VRBIS reverse to my gallery:
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1116&pid=183210
Sold my last Sept. Severus to upgrade to a higher grade coin. That was in 2007.
-
Added a nice Crispina denarius to my gallery:
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=1117&pid=184779
The last time I bought a Crispina denarius was in 2003 and it went missing in the post, still a bit upset about that
-
Nice coin. I gave it a 5/5.
-
Thanks Joe!
-
Finally got a nice Philip I to go with my Otacilia Severa:

*triumphant fanfare* Just added my number one holy grail coin to my gallery, a DIANA LVCIFERA reverse denarius of Plautilla. This has been at the top of my want list for over twenty years and it means I now have every reverse type struck for Plautilla by the Rome mint.

Quite an accomplishment, congratulations!
