Hi Guys...

  Tis' a quiet Friday night in Sweden, so I am trying to pin down my "Less well identified" coins.

  Here is a pretty coin I bought from a local dealer.. It has the most wonderful black/red patina, however it arrived with the description " Macadonia, Pella, Athena/animal. AE18mm. 8.13grm. 187-31 BC" , and I am sure I can get it down closer than that with a little help!!  ;D

   I can make out ALOY above the rev. and have not managed to find a match..... can anyone help me out please... ?

Hi Lee..

Your coin is a Macedonian issue under Roman rule; Gaius Publilius, Quaestor.
The legends reads ΓΑΙΟΥ ΤΑΜΙΟΥ, like this: http://www.acsearch.info/ext-record.html?id=185287
