Byzantine seals site

(1/1)

Robert_Brenchley:
This is worth noting, since we have seals posted here regularly.

Another important resource is the “Prosopography of the Byzantine World” database, though personally I don’t find it particularly easy to navigate:  http://blog.pbw.cch.kcl.ac.uk/

Gert:
The new DO catalogue promises to be a fantastic online resource some time in the future - and hopefully sooner rahter than later. Right now, there are just 35 seals online (of 17.000) - or am I missing something? - and not all pages are working yet...

The website referenced by Aby Galyon is the best online resource for the moment, but it lacks photographs. And indeed, the search tool is not the most user friendly.

Gert
